Along with the help of a team of highly respected scientists, you are to determine some of the water issues in Australia and from this find a possible solution to save water and hence, save Water Bomb Park! Your findings are then to be presented to all the state leaders. How you choose to communicate your findings is completely up to you; some ideas are: a poster, documentary video, brochure/leaflet, oral presentation (parliament meeting), pod cast etc.
Here are some questions which will guide you through your research: · What is ‘the water cycle’? You may want to use a flow chart
or a concept map. · What are our current water needs for domestic, agricultural and industrial uses? · Are there any alternative methods for obtaining water for these uses · What methods can we use to reduce our water usage? · Explain how these solutions may affect our lives · What part of the water cycle/collection process would these solutions affect?
You can be as creative as you like with your solutions. So long as they show that you understand the various stages in the water cycle and process of collecting usable water. Make sure you include diagrams/images to help communicate your ideas.
